A customised approach to treating acne
Acne typically appears on the face, neck, chest and back and can be difficult to treat successfully. Depending on the severity, acne can have a significant impact of the sufferer’s emotional wellbeing. Recent studies have compared the use of topical niacinamide (vitamin B3) with topical clindamycin (an antibiotic). The results showed comparable efficacy between the two, without the risk of antibiotic resistance with the niacinamide cream. Wickham House Compounding Pharmacy is able to compound a light, non greasy moisturising cream containing niacinamide, vitamin C and other soothing ingredients, which may be of benefit for our customers suffering from acne.
